Updated at 2:45...Both of my children are taking a nap! I actually finished wrapping presents and have put them under the tree. Now, I am enjoying sitting for a few minutes without being asked for something. If they stay asleep, I might actually pick up the mess they made this morning!
Today is day 2 of Christmas break. It is really the first time since Carson started school that we have had to entertain ourselves. For fall break, we were at the beach. The week of Thanksgiving we were at Disney and grandmas. So this is our first experience in dealing with school breaks. I have already caved and decided the TV can babysit my kids for awhile.
I tried to get them to do activities. So far this morning, Macie has played with play dough, Carson has worked on his peel and stick art work, Macie has made several pictures. I tried to pick up and clean the kitchen while they worked, but they both needed help constantly. So, we have gone back to playhouse Disney. Hopefully I will get something done before the fighting starts!

Meeting the Princesses
So it has been almost a month since we were at Disney. But, I have been slow at updating. I have been trying to edit pictures before I post them. It makes it hard to get done. Especially since I am not good at editing.
We started day 2 at Cinderella's castle. We had breakfast reservations at about 8:30. It was great because we got in to the park before it opened. It was great for taking pictures. The 2 in the side bar were taken on the way to breakfast.
First we got to meet our favorite Cinderella. We did not get a great picture. I guess we will have to go back and see her again soon!
Once we get upstairs, all the princesses come around to all the tables. Our first visitor was Snow White. I think she looks awesome.
Next was Aurora or Sleeping Beaty. Isn't this a great picture with Carson's silly face and Macie not looking at the camera. At least the princess looked good!
Next was Jasmine. She told us she and Alladin like fly over Georgia. Macie has since been saying "Remember we live in Georgia." I can not tyoe the way she says Georgia, but it is cute.
Last was Belle. Jeff and I believe that Carson likes her best. He loved seeing the show the day before at Hollywood Studios.

Paci adjustments
Since the paci ferry came things have been a little trying around here. Macie quickly got to the point where she would go to sleep with out the paci fairly easily. Most days she has not taken a nap in her bed, but we have gotten a few out of her. Even before the paci ferry came, she was not napping well, so I was expecting some napping trouble. She has taken a lot of cat naps in various places. When I get my pictures loaded, I will show you the funniest one.
The hardest part is she has had a few nights where she wakes up in a fit. It is usually when she has not had any nap and has gone to sleep quickly. She then wakes up a short time later and is almost unconsolable. It is like she is having a temper tantrum but not fully awake. I don't know if the paci is related or would have made a difference, but it would have been nice to have the option.
She has also been a little sleep deprived. She just has not gotten into a good pattern of sleeping without her naps. Really this goes back to before the paci was gone. I told Jeff the other day that on the days when she does not nap, she is going to have to go to bed super early. It might mean we don't all have dinner together or she does not see Jeff when he gets home from work. But, she is a different child with enough sleep. She is still crazy, but we are all so much happier. It just seems like it will be worth the sacrifice for her to be well rested.

Carson was also wiped out from a later night on Sunday and Connor spending the night one Monday (Connor's parents were celebrating David's 40th brithday). So, I fed them dinner at 5:30. The were both out of the shower and ready for bed when Jeff got home. Both kids were in the bed asleep by 7. Macie was up at about 5:30, but she was in a good mood. Then she took a 2 1/2 hour nap in her bed yesterday afternoon. It took her awhile to go to sleep last night, but she was out by about 8:30 and slept until about 6:15. She did come crawl in our bed at about 4. I think she would have slept longer today if Carson and Jeff were not coming and going from the bathroom.
I am hoping to get caught up soon. If I do I will get lots of posts with pictures!

Big day
I apologize for no pictures again. I will load some and get them up as soon as I get to it!
Today Macie got to see Santa. She did very well and looked cute telling him she wanted a bike. The cutest pictures were with Macie and Addison in his lap together.
After breakfast with Santa, I had to go have the big ultra sound. We did not let them tell us what the gender of the baby. But, I am going about 99% girl. First Jeff asked at the last one and that is what they thought. Then today, the tech kept saying she. Plus, we have seen an ultra sound for both. The doctor did not stay on that part very long because he got a great shot quickly. I could clearly see 2 lines and not an extra leg! I did get them to write it down and put it in a sealed envelope. I might let Jeff open it since we are so sure it is a girl.
As for the development, all looks very good. Everything looks healthy and normal The baby is measuring at about 1 pound. That is about right for this point. The placenta is all under the baby, so she is right below my skin. The doctor said there is really only about 1/2 an inch from my skin to baby. She is also very active. They had a hard time seeing all they wanted because she would not sit still (sounds like we have another Macie). At one point the doctor even felt the kick. He was very surprised. He said he is never able to feel the baby move at this point. He kept saying how hard she must be kicking. Then he also pointed out that both feet are pushing on my bladder. He said I better hope she moves or it could be an issue for me. I will see if I can get a picture scanned to put up for you.

I am enjoying football
Back before we had kids, I really enjoyed sitting and watching a football game. I had to have at least a little interest in the teams, but it did not have to be one of my teams. Over the last several years the interest has faded away. Maybe its because Jeff can get way into it so it has sent me in the other direction. Maybe its because my team has not done all the great, but other than this year they have not been horrible. Maybe its that our weekends are so crazy I just don't have time to enjoy it. But, tonight I have actually sat and watched a good portion of the SEC Championship. And, I am enjoying it. Of course, I have a great dislike for Florida and at the moment they are not doing so well. Jeff went over to watch the game with his softball team. The kids are there as well playing with the Macdonald kids. I made dinner for myself that no one else would enjoy and have watched football. I should have been wrapping presents or doing something productive, but it has been nice. Now if Alabama can keep Florida from scoring 3 times, it will be worth it!
On another note, today was Carson's first basketball game. Macie fell asleep in my arms before Carson went in to play so I don't have pictures, but he did fairly well. He actually ran fast from one end of the court to the other. He got the ball a few times, but I think he was afraid to dribble the ball. He would pass it on to another player as soon as he caught it. I could really get use to basketball since it is inside with a place to sit!

The paci is gone
We had a visit from the paci ferry last night. The ferry had a hard time locating paci since Macie was sleeping on top of it. But, she found it and "took it to baby Kylie." Macie said a couple days ago that she want the paci ferry to bring her a stuffed giraffe. I have no idea where that came from, but I was able to find one for paci ferry to deliver. Macie got super lucky and also got a Minnie mouse night gown.
Today has gone fairly well. Macie came into our room around 6. She said she could not find her paci. I reminded her that the paci ferry had come and she left her something. Maice said she could not find it. I went and helped her find her all her goodies. When we came downstairs, she found another pacie and gave it to me to put away. Later when I went up to take a showern she found another one. When I came downstairs, she had it in her mouth. But, she gave it to me right away and I cut off the tip. She did fine at school, but she did not take a nap. I did not really expect her to take a nap. She had a really hard time going to sleep. She kept crying that she needed her paci. Then she was making up a million excuses. She finally let Jeff lie down with her. He said he had to sing to her. Hopefully tomorrow night it will be easier!

Day # 1 Disney
We spent the latter part of last week at Disney. We started out at Hollywood Studios. The kids loved it. And, it got us in the holiday spirit. They have the streets of America covered in Christmas lights. We were actually tired and ready to head home, but I refuse to leave until we saw the lights. It was beautiful. They have fake snow falling on the streets. Carson loved that and tried to catch it.
There is a relatively new Toy Story Ride. It is 3D. Carson and I rode it once, and then took Jeff and Macie back. They both liked the glasses.
The first time Carson and I rode, this is what Macie was doing. She took a short nap in her stroller every day. I think Carson would have had there been a place for him.
Disney does a great job of decorating. It is truly magical to be there this time of year! If it was the week after Thanksgiving when the holidays should officially start, it would be even better.
I love this picture of the kids once the lights came on. I considered it for our Christmas cards, but I decided on a different one.
We had a great time with a small crowd. Jeff got to ride Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller Coaster waiting less than 30 minutes. We tried to get Carson on Tower of Terror, but he was not willing to try it this time. He was still too short for the roller coaster. I loved the Beaty and the Beast show. The kids favorite show was Playhouse Disney, but Macie also loved the Little Mermaid.
We had an early night so we could get ready for another big day.

Funny things to Remember
Macie has been up to a few things lately that I really want to remember. Because a couple of them are funny, I thought I would share.

This one is very funny, but I am going to have to use a few code words. I think you will be able to figure it out. A couple of weeks ago, Carson has a couple of bumps on his part. Jeff was trying to help him with the issue. But, it was a little painful for Carson. Macie was around when this was going on. The next day, she was doing something with her own parts. I told her to stop or she would hurt herself. She looks at me and with her sweet baby voice she says "Like Carson hurt his tail." It took me a couple of seconds to catch what she was saying, but once I did I was rolling with laughter.
Yesterday, I subbed at the pre-school. I needed to get all of the mess picked up around here. So, when Carson got off the bus, I told him I would pay him a dollar to help me get the toys picked up. I would not aways pay him, but the mess was made by Macie. So, it seemed unfair to require him to clean up after her. I was giving him a little while to play first. He, on his own, started cleaning up all the mess around Macie's kitchen. He came into the family room carring half a stick of butter. He says look what I found in Macie's kitchen. I guess she took it off the table the night before while we were cleaning the kitchen. In her mind the fridge in her kitchen is the same as the real one.
I should probably post one of these once a week. There is always something crazy she is doing!

One of the many reasons
the cat drives me bats! Can you tell where he is? He drives me bats, but he lets the kids drive him bats. He is getting so big. Carson said this morning "Troy is almost to heavy for me to carry anymore!"

I promise a Halloween update with pictures in the next couple of days. But, I thought Carson deserved a post about being sweet.
This weekend, we were driving in the car somewhere. Somehow, we started talking about when Carson is older. I said "By then, you will be able to drive a car and go on a date" Carson got really animated and excited and said "Cool" I thought it was cute and asked him who he would take on a date. Carson quickly and immediately said "You!" Jeff pointed out that Carson just thought it was cool that he would be able to drive, but I might be holding him to taking me on a date!

Hard Choices
Sometimes, I think it is really hard to be a parent. You are responsible for making choices for your child. Most recently we have had to decide if we will vaccinate the kids against the H1N1 flu. There are plenty of people who choose not to vaccinate their kids at all. Most of them are probably fairly safe, but only because the majority of us have vaccinate so these illnesses are not very prevalent.
But this flu is a little different. It is running rampant around here right now. I hear there are so many case that the pediatrician offices are not testing for it. They just assume when a child presents with symptoms, they have the H1N1. I know there is at least one confirmed case at Macie's school. There are many more kids with high fevers who could very easily have it.
This is a real threat to my kids. Macie has a tendency for things to go straight to her lungs. While she has never had a big asthma attack, she has many of the symtoms. Because this flu seems to be really affecting the lungs, she is probably at high risk. Not the mention the child still puts her hands and lots of other things in her mouth. Carson is probably in a low risk group, but there have been many deaths in kids with no pre existing conditions.
I also have to consider that I am pregnant. From what I read there is a big risk to pregnant women. Because of the reduced lung capacity in pregnancy, the flu attacking my lungs could be very dangerous. If my kids are not vaccinated there is a greater chance of me getting it. They are the ones bringing home all the germs. Right now, I have not been able to fine the shot available. I can not have the mist because it is the live virus, so I have to wait. In addition to me, we are going to have a new born in the house in the Spring. Who knows if this thing will be gone by then. I feel certain I don't want a new born with the swine flu.
So, what do you do? Do you risk getting the illness? Most of the people who get it are fine. Do I hope if we do get it we will be in the majority? Or, do you risk getting a vaccine? You can find as many things saying the vaccine is safe as you can it is worse than the flu. This is why I think it is hard to be a parent!
Today, we went and got the mist for the children. The health department had it in stock and a fairly short wait. We went as soon as Carson got off the bus. Macie had taken an early nap, so it was the perfect time. And, we went with 2 other families. The kids played outside until they called us. We were only there about 45 minutes, and it was very easy (and free). Carson had the seasonal flu mist 28 days ago (the minumum for getting this one). He did so much better this time. He took it and sniffed without a single cringe. Macie was not all the keen on the idea, but when it was her time she was a champ. She did better than Carson did the first time around.
Now, we hope they don't get the flu for the 2 weeks it takes to kick in. And we hope that all the folks saying the vaccine is perfectly safe are right! And hope I can get the vaccine soon.

Crazy Day with good results
This weekend has been one of the craziest in a while. Jeff was out of town yesterday and got back in town just in time for a quick dinner out. The kids were at Parents Night Out a Macie's school. We got home after bed time and hit the ground running this morning!
9AM Carson had a soccer game about 30 minutes north of here. But, he actually scored 2 goals. He has played 4 seasons of soccer and this was the first time he ever scored a goal. He came really close in the last game the last season he played. As a matter of fact, he believed he scored. So, we were all really excited for him. He was also playing great defense. I have said a long time, he will do much better when he can play positions.
10:30-12 Macie's school is having a Fall festival. We go ride a train, play some games, get our faces painted, and pet the animal at the petting zoo.
12:15 We get home. Jeff, Carson, and I eat a quick lunch. Macie goes up to take a nap
12:30 Carson and I leave for the neighborhood fall festival. I have to set up for swim team sign ups. He plays while Jeff stays home with Macie who is suppose to be sleeping.
1:30 Carson and I come home. Jeff and Macie are napping.
1:50 Jeff leaves with Carson for a birthday party. I hang out and wait for Macie to wake up from her nap.
2:30 Macie wakes up and eats some lunch
3:00 I take Macie up to the festival to let her play and finish up all the swim team stuff.
3:45 Hopefully Jeff and Carson come and get Macie so, I can pack everything up and help clean things up from the festival.
4:30 We drop Macie and Carson off at the Morrows for our babysitting exchange. We are headed out to get Christmas shopping done for his family. If I am lucky, we will get them finished and a lot of other stuff done as well.
8:30 Pick the kids up and throw then in the bed. We might have to let Carson take a shower. He missed on last night and 48 hours is just a bit long without being cleaned!
8:45 I head across the street for a neighbors birthday party. I hate I won't stay long, but I know I will not have much energy by then.
I bet all of you are jealous of our nice relaxing Saturday!
9AM Carson had a soccer game about 30 minutes north of here. But, he actually scored 2 goals. He has played 4 seasons of soccer and this was the first time he ever scored a goal. He came really close in the last game the last season he played. As a matter of fact, he believed he scored. So, we were all really excited for him. He was also playing great defense. I have said a long time, he will do much better when he can play positions.
10:30-12 Macie's school is having a Fall festival. We go ride a train, play some games, get our faces painted, and pet the animal at the petting zoo.
12:15 We get home. Jeff, Carson, and I eat a quick lunch. Macie goes up to take a nap
12:30 Carson and I leave for the neighborhood fall festival. I have to set up for swim team sign ups. He plays while Jeff stays home with Macie who is suppose to be sleeping.
1:30 Carson and I come home. Jeff and Macie are napping.
1:50 Jeff leaves with Carson for a birthday party. I hang out and wait for Macie to wake up from her nap.
2:30 Macie wakes up and eats some lunch
3:00 I take Macie up to the festival to let her play and finish up all the swim team stuff.
3:45 Hopefully Jeff and Carson come and get Macie so, I can pack everything up and help clean things up from the festival.
4:30 We drop Macie and Carson off at the Morrows for our babysitting exchange. We are headed out to get Christmas shopping done for his family. If I am lucky, we will get them finished and a lot of other stuff done as well.
8:30 Pick the kids up and throw then in the bed. We might have to let Carson take a shower. He missed on last night and 48 hours is just a bit long without being cleaned!
8:45 I head across the street for a neighbors birthday party. I hate I won't stay long, but I know I will not have much energy by then.

Melting her mamma's heart
It has never been a secret that my sweet girl can drive me up a a wall, but she can also be the sweetest little thing. Yesterday, she woke up from her nap (the first real one of the week) very grumpy. She wanted to sit in our laps and would cry for long periods of time if anything set her off. At one point, she was sitting in the rocking chair with Jeff. I asked her who her favorite princess was (trying to get an answer for grandma for Christmas). She took her finger out of her mouth and pointed at me. She stares at my wedding portrait several times a week and says "Mommy is a princess." If you call her a princess, she will say "I not a pwincess, mommy a pwincess." Then she will run and point at the picture and say "see." It really is the sweetest thing. And, it melts her mommy's heart.

Sometimes I am amazed
There are days that Carson comes home from school and really amazes me. This week it has happened a couple of times. Carson is in a reading group that is pulled out from the class, so he is getting a little extra in reading. It only happens once a week right now, but it is better than nothing. In math he is just doing very basic curriculum (his test tomorrow is on the numbers 0 to 5).
There is also a program they use at school that allows the kids to work at their own pace in math and reading that they do on the computer. The computer keeps track of how they are doing and moves them up based on their progress and success. I am not exactly sure how the teacher uses it to assess them. I am actually hoping I will get some information when I get his first report card tomorrow. The get to do it once or twice a week and have to do one math section and one reading section (I think). When he gets a chance to work on the computer, he does the one reading assignment he has to do and then does math the rest of the time.
Anyway, one day Carson came home and told me about some of the math he has been doing on the computer. He said the computer is asking him questions like if you have eight tens and eight ones, what number will you have. I asked him what it would be and he answered correctly 88. I was impressed. I know they are not doing this in class, and we have not talked about it. So he has to be picking it up from playing on the computer. Then, today, he got to play games again. He said the math was hard at first. He claims it was asking 20 +40 and really hard addition problems. Then he said he figured it out. I asked him to tell me how he did it. And he said it is like if you have 4 10's and then you add 2 more 10's it like 4+2 which is 6. So, 40+20 is 60. I am just very impressed with his ability to think through it.
I really hope he continues to enjoy learning and thinking. I really fear that as he is in school longer he will loose that love of learning. By the way the picture above is a soccer picture from this season. I need to do a soccer post sometime soon. I just thought you were ready for a picture.

More making plans
This time around we are making plans for the Spring. We will be adding another baby to the household. Jeff and I went for an ultra sound yesterday and all is looking good at this moment. (I would post a picture, but our scanner is dead. And, the baby was not cooperating at the time they took the pictures so they are not great) Jeff asked if they could tell if the baby is a boy or girl. The best guess is girl, but they can not really tell. I am not sure if I want to find out for sure, so he might have to wait until the delivery room to know for sure.
We told the kids last night. Macie doesn't really get it and kept looking at me funny trying to find a baby. She also said she thinks we should name the baby Baby Carson. Carson just plain did not believe Jeff. Jeff told him that mommy has a baby in her belly. Carson said No she doesn't. They went back and forth for a little while until we finally got the ultra sound picture. When he saw it, he decided to believe us. He was excited.
I blogged another time about the debate on having a third child. Jeff was willing and ready, but I was a little more hesitant. I worry about the details of managing 3 kids and about how Macie will do being a middle child (My mom is a middle child and hated it). At times I also feel like I am taking a big risk. We have 2 healthy children and there is no guarantee that kids will be healthy. Ultimately, I decided to trust God with the choice. We would try for awhile and then be done. I guess I kind of thought we would quit trying and then talk about adoption. But, in what was probably the last month I was willing to try with some other obstacles in the way, this tiny baby was conceived. (I don't want a summer baby that would keep me away from doing the fun summer stuff with Carson and Macie) So, we will begin a journey of being a family of 5. I KNOW I do not want a 4th child, so we won't have the debate again.
We will have another ultra sound in 6-8 weeks. Hopefully we will have a new printer/scanner by then so I can get you a sneek peek.

Making plans
On the way home from the bus stop this morning, Macie asked where Carson was. I said, "he just got on the bus." She talked about how she wanted to ride the bus. Like always I told her she could ride the bus when she is 5 1/2. We then talked about all the people who will be on the bus with her including Carson. She then said "When I get on the bus, Carson will hold my hand so I won't be scared." It was very sweet to hear her making plans for her brother to keep her safe!

Relying on a 5 year old
This pictures has nothing to do with the post, I just figured I needed a picture to make it more exciting. I am going to work on another montage of beach pictures.
About a month ago, Jeff and I met with Carson's teacher about how he did on his first of the year assessment. Basically, they just want to see what the kids know. Being in Kindergarten, some of the kids can read while others don't even know their letters. We were told at that point that Carson was going to be pulled out for a reading group with the para pro. Well, it has taken a while, but it looks like it started today. Unfortunately, I am relying on my 5 year old for information. He told me that he went with Mrs. W and 2 other kids, one from his class and one from another class (2 teachers share a para pro) to the work room. He said they read a little book and did a work sheet. Thats all I got out of him. I have no idea if they will do this daily or how it will work. Hopefully, I will hear more in the futre, but in the meantime, I am glad they started the group. Clearly, a 5 year old boy is not the most reliable sourse of information!

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. As many of you know, the summer and fall after Carson was born, I helped a student with cancer finish his math credits. While tutoring William, I got to know a family with a little girl who also had cancer. Catie passed away a few days after Macie was born (and a week before her sister was born). Never did we dream that our lives would be touched by childhood cancer, and we certainly never imagined we would lose a child. Yet here we are, normal folks, just like you, in just that boat.
Throughout the month of September, we are participating in an initiative called “CURE’s Kids Conquer Cancer One Day at a Time.” On September 26, what would have been her 7th birthday, Catie will be honored. CURE Childhood Cancer will feature her story on its web site (www.curechildhoodcancer.org), its blog (www.curechildhoodcancerblog.wordpress.com, and on www.firstgiving.com/curekidcatiewilkins. Our goal through the Firstgiving website is to raise well over $1,000 on Catie’s day to help fund research that will lead to better treatments and cures for pediatric cancers. We want more survivors, and research (and therefore it's funding) is the way to get there. Our goal is for less families to have to say, "Goodbye," to their kids.

FINALLY
Macie's first day of school has finally arrived. I have always liked our school starting after Labor day. It gave us a long nice summer to enjoy. But, this year, our summer ended back on August 3rd when Carson started school. And, Labor Day was really late this year. But, the day finally arrived. I better hurry up and finish this so I can get a thing or two done before I have to go back for her.
Macie and her teacher Ms. Michelle. This was at meet and greet on Thursday.
The start of the day. Macie wanted to twirl out by the trash instead of pose for the first day of school pictures.
Then, she decided to try to run down the street.
I am still trying to get her up on the porch, but I decided I would settle for a picture by the tree. She would not let me see her face!
Finally, I get her up on the porch, but there will be no standing or smiling.
Until I offer her a pop pop in the car if she will stand up and let me take pictures.
I love to get pictures with their back packs. They always look like the packs are as big as they are when they start the 2 year old class!
The back pack is on and we are ready to go get in the car.

She walked right in to the room and started playing with play dough. (I was impressed since she is across the hall from her old class room. I thought she might try to go in with Paula and Teresa.) I left her happy and playing with Drew and Addison.
I am sure she will have a great day and a great year. She is in the same classroom (different teacher) as Carson at this age. If we are lucky, the next few years, she will be following in his footsteps.

Rough Afternoon that ended with a surprise
Yesterday was one of those afternoons. I got an email from Carson's teacher telling me he had pulled a card. If the kids don't behave they pull cards for different level of punishment. If they don't pull cards, they bring home a smiley face. On Friday if they have not pulled a card they get to go to the treasure chest. If you know Carson well, you know he is usually very obedient. I figured at some point he would have a bad day, but I was still a little surprised. We had just had a conference with his teacher on Monday, and she had told us he is always doing what he should be doing.
After checking my email, I can downstairs to talk to him. (I am not quite sure what is says about me that I did not even notice the missing smiley face until I got the email.) I told him there was something missing from his folder. He said the smiley face. So, I asked him what happened. He was of course upset and on the verge of tears. I was also about to loose it looking into his sad little eyes. He told me that "H" moved next to him and was bothering him all day. H was scratching him on the back of the neck and he kept telling him to stop, but he did not stop. By then he was sobbing. I sent him to his room to settle down. So, I emailed the teacher back to get more details. She said it looked to her like they were having a good time together.
Carson came back downstairs still gulping and asked that I email his teacher and ask her to not make him sit by H any more. He was pitiful. We talked several more times and he stuck to his story that H was bothering him. I told him, if that was the case he needed to go talk to his teacher. She had corrected them a couple of times, but he had not said anything to her. So, it left me in a place with two different versions of the truth. It was not fun and dealing with it would have been enough for the day.
But, a little while later, Macie and Carson were in his room. Jeff and I hear a huge crash, Carson yelling "Macie", and both of them burst into tears. We open the door and find Carson's piggy back in many pieces all over the floor.
After cleaning up the mess and promising a new bank, we went to dinner. Jeff took Macie to the bathroom, and Carson starts talking to me. Here is basically the conversation..
C: Mommy do you know God can see everyone at the same time?
Me: Yes. He knows if you do good things or bad things. Thats why you always need to tell him the truth and ask him to forgive you. And, we know if you ask him to live in your heart, he will always forgive you.
C: I already asked God to live in my heart.
Me: You did? When?
C: When I went to Coley's bible school
About this time, Jeff comes back with Macie. He was not happy with her, but I want to continue our conversation. I ask Carson something so Jeff can catch up with what we are talking about. We continue a little while and talk to him about what it means.
We think he knows what he is talking about. Bible school was 2 1/2 months ago, and he has not said anything to us before. But, he does not like to talk about what he is really thinking. New obsession
If you know Carson, you know when he likes something he LOVES it. I say all the time, he only makes friends for life. He find something he likes to do and he does it as long as we will let him. This weekend, his obsession is his bike. Last week, a 3 year old neighbor pulled out his bike with out training wheels. C saw this and decided it was time to loose his. (Asher did not ride his without the training wheels that night, but it motivated Carson) He tried a few time that night and did well. I tried to help him on Thursday after school, but I let him fall before he was even going. So, Friday afternoon, Jeff took him to a flat part of the neighborhood, and he took off. He has probably spent 5-6 hours riding his bike around the cul-de-sac since then. I hope to have a video, but I have not loaded it yet.
Yesterday, Jeff and I decided Macie needed to go see Dora Live. We were able to get tickets, so Jeff and Macie went on a date to the theater this afternoon. I hope he took some pictures. She loves Dora and was excited to go see the show. Carson and I spent the morning at White Water since Macie got to do something fun. He had a great time, but we did not try too many of the rides. Of course he loved all of the ones I could get him to try. I don't have any pictures because Jeff had the camera and it was a little wet.

Busy girl
I tried to get these pictures from Snapfish. They are too big. But, if you click on the photo, you can see the entire image. I will try to figure out how to make them smaller.
Since Carson started school, I thought Macie would be missing her brother. So, she has had lots of activity. Last week she was in a 5 day Abrakadoodle camp. She loved it. Maybe I will get some pictures of all her work. On a side note, she did a great job sitting and listening. as long as I did not try to give her artistic advise she was a perfect little angel.
Of course everything is better with a friend. Her best bud Addison was there, too. How cute are they making their train engineers?
Our dance class also started last week. I love how Macie looks like a real ballarina here. I will have to get more pictures from class. They dress up like a book each week and do tap and ballet.
We also went to the new fountains not to far from us. The girls loved it. Macie lasted a very short amount of time though. I thought she would stay forever. We even ran into some of our friends from music class when the girls were babies. It was fun to see them so much bigger.
Connor went with us, too. But, Macie was never close enough to get a picture together.

I love how Macie looks like a real ballarina here. I will have to get more pictures from class. They dress up like a book each week and do tap and ballet.We also went to the new fountains not to far from us. The girls loved it. Macie lasted a very short amount of time though. I thought she would stay forever. We even ran into some of our friends from music class when the girls were babies. It was fun to see them so much bigger.Connor went with us, too. But, Macie was never close enough to get a picture together.
Trouble
Macie has been busy getting into trouble while Carson is in school. She has had several activities too. But, I thought I would share some of the trouble she finds
This is her trying her hand at photography. Or, you could say this is Macie taking things mommy doesn't want her to touch.
And my favorite. Macie after trying to put some make up on her face. This was the first of two times the same day she tried to put on mascara. She was suppose to be taking a nap when I took this picture. I don't have a picture of the second time. All I can say, is she use to try to use mascara as lip stick, so I guess we are making progress. (She is crying because she got in trouble)

So far so good
So far the week has gone well. Carson says he is not talking to kids, but his teacher told me he is playing with kids on the playground. We are trying to make him be friends with a little boy named Jack. He lives in our neighborhood and was at the pool with us a good bit this summer. I keep telling him it will give him someone else to play with next summer.
He has reported on the behavior of the kids everyday. They pull a colored card if they misbehave. They loose 5, 10 15 minutes or all of recess depending on the # of cards they pull. So far 2 different kids have pulled the blue 10 minute cards. One little boy who lost 10 minutes yesterday did not pull any today. I just think it is funny that he gives me the details daily. He does not know many names, but I am sure he will soon be reporting by name. And, he will be devastated if he has to pull a card.
If I get pictures loaded I have a Macie post coming.

He came home
Carson is home from his first day of school. He survived. Macie and I survived. Now, she is sleeping and he is playing Mario cart. He says his favorite part of the day was Rest time because he was so hot and tired from the recess. He did not get to go to PE because some of the kids did not wear tennis shoes. They changed the menu at lunch, and he ate a banana, some apple sauce and milk. He said he did not have time to eat his cookie.
Macie was ready for him to come home by 1. She would not go to sleep, so we went to the gym at about 1. She had already tried to walk out of the garage to go get him. Here are some of the picutres waiting for him to get home and when he got off the bus. He could not find us at first, so he stood on the bus looking for us. Then he had to go potty in the neighbors yard because he could not make it home!

He's off
It has started. Today is Carson's first day of Kindergarten. We set his alarm for 6:15. Before I was even out of bed, he was out of his room with his clothes in hand. Jeff got up early and made some bacon. Carson picked bacon, fruit and yogurt for his first breakfast. He ate, got dressed, brushed his teeth, and was ready to go. He was really excited. We took some pictures on the front porch like we do every year.
Troy was very interested in what we doing outside when it was still dark!
Jeff left to go out of town before we left for the bus stop. We woke Macie up and started the .17 mile treck to the bus stop. The county gave us a paper that told us the distance. I was not happy about having to get Macie out of bed, but it was too big of a risk to leave her at home.
This is Carson's buddies at our bus stop. Carson, Ryan, Carter, and Miles. Ryan and Miles are starting 1st grade, so they were telling the boys what to do. We also met a new little boy named Christian. He was shy since we just met him, but he is in Carter's class.

Some how, Carson ended up being the last one on the bus. If you look really closely you might be able to see Cole sitting in the front seat. He is the stop before us.
So, the next 13 years of his life begin of school. I am looking forward to him coming home and telling me about his day. There are 7 kids from our neighborhood in his class. He doesn't really know them, but I am hoping he will. There is a chance he will get a new teacher in the next week of 2. There are 22 or 23 kids in all the classes. I think they are suppose to max out at 22. So, it looks like they will hire a new teacher and start a new class. I just hope they do it soon so it won't be a big deal.
