Camp Sasser

Macie has just left on her first road trip with out mom and dad. She went home with my sister, so she can go to Ann Bennett's birthday party New Years Eve. The plan is for me to go get her next weekend. We will see how it goes. She was very excited all morning.

It was challenging to get an extra child in the car with all of their luggage plus all the Christmas stuff. Here they are getting in the car.
Hopefully Bryant and Ann Bennett will survive the ride with a car seat between them.
Can you see Macie in the middle of the back seat? She's playing on her Barbie computer already.

I am sure Macie will have a great time. We are going to try to entertain Carson for the week with no school and no sister. So far it is very quiet! I am sure we will all be missing her by Saturday.

Christmas pictures

Christmas eve before we left for church. I failed to get a good picture of all 5 kids. (Ellie 8 months, Ann Bennett 8, Carson 6, Bryant 12, Macie 3)
The Christmas tree before the kids came down to see what was left for them.
Macie wanted me to open this present from her first. She found a rock in the back yard and wrapped it for me. She was so proud. And, I will treasure this ordinary rock.
Macie with her new baby. It's a bitty twin, but she was able to get just one. For now her name is Sally. But, it was Macie Avaleen for awhile today. She might have a new name tomorrow.
Ellie liked her little doll from Santa.
Carson with Super Mario brothers for his DSi. He was hoping he would get it from Santa. He was getting it from Rene', but he did not say a word if he was disappointed when it was not out from Santa.
You can not tell in this picture, but it started to snow around 10. Macie is standing at the front door watching it.
Ann Bennett and Bryant enjoying their first white Christmas. It looks like Macie was eating the snow off of her mittens.
We had a crazy fun day celebrating the birth of our savior. We hope all of you did as well.

8 months

Sweet Ellie is 8 months old today. This month she seems to have grown up so much! (Sorry she is a little dirty in these pictures. We have a crazy week and I did not have time to dress her up!)
She is thinking about crawling. But, I am trying to make her wait until all of Christmas is put away for the year. Even without crawling she is starting to have a little bit of a crazier personality. She is always moving something. She gets mad when she does not get her way.

She has been eating more regular food. I made some chicken noodle soup this week that she loved. I put the chicken, pasta and carrots on her tray, and she went to town.

She has seen Santa 3 times. Each time, she has been fascinated by his beard.
She loves her bath. Especially when I let her take a bath with her sister. It is so much easier now that she can sit steadily.

She is doing better at being left. We went to Macie's preschool for church on Sunday and she did great! She also had a new babysitter that she seemed to like. I am hoping we are getting to an easier point with that. She really is just a sweet heart. This is such a fun age. We love to see her smile and hear her laugh. It is so hard to believe she is getting so close to turning 1!

Gigi

This is Gigi with the girls. She is Jeff's grandmother. Since FSU is playing in the ACC championship tonight I thought would post this picture of her and the girls in their FSU dresses. Gigi is 91 and we don't see her often. I am glad I got a few pictures with Ellie while we were in Florida.

I am trying to get lots of post in this month, so I can get all of 2010 finished up. Hopefully everything else in December won't keep me from doing it.

A phone call

This morning Addison called to talk to Macie. Listening to Macie's end of the coversation is so sweet. Here is a little of what I am hearing...
I love you too Addison...
Best Friends Forever?

You can be a mommy with me when I get big..

Someday I will get married I just don't know who yet...Putting down the phone Mommy did you marry daddy? Oh I wanted to...

Well, I have a Roudolph the red nosed raindeer with your nose so bright ornament...

We can pray to God and talk to Him anytime we want to...

I love you too Bye bye.

These two are so much like sisters the way they fight and can be mean to each other, but every now and then you can see such sweetness between them.

Thankful for little things

I need to upload some pictures from Thanksgiving, but I thought I would share this picture of the girls a few weeks ago. They (and their brother) are the top of my list to be thankful fo.

Ellie is starting to think about crawling. Two weeks ago she was happy to just sit in one spot, but she is tying to get around now. I was thinking she would be faster than Macie, but then I watched this. Ellie is about a week older now and not moving as much. I seem to recall Carson skipped the rolling everywhere and just got up and crawled. I still have hope that the Ellie will stay a little less challenging than her big sister!
