Carson starter soccer again last week. It should have been our 3rd week, but we had been rained out for a couple weeks. This past weekend, we had a game Saturday and Sunday (and birthday parties after each game). Carson seems to be playing at the same level as he did in the fall. He runs around and follows the crowd, but he is touching the ball every now and then. He wants to be on the field the entire time though. Sunday he even got a bloody lip. He colided with his buddy Cole's head. Carson was bleeding and Cole looked like he had been bitten on the forhead. I will let Jeff tell you about his reaction. (ask him)
Anyway, he is a video of Carson playing on Sundau when it was freezing. Carson is #3.

I love our preschool!
Tonight Jeff and I have the privilege of going to dinner with some friends. And it is all thanks to our preschool. As a fundraiser, they are having a parents night out. For $30, we get to leave both kids for 3 hours. The teachers who know and love them will be there to care for them. How great is this idea? I don't have to ask any of you to buy something from Carson and Macie (I just have to ask you to sponser me in the Great Mom's Walk-see the link to the side!) and the preschool is making money. I figure it is money well spent to go out and avoid my poor sales job! The only problem is the hours are 6-9 and they will likely both be exhausted by 9. Of course it is after 4 and they are both napping. Carson might be up all night.
If you live in the Roswell, Marietta, or Woodstock area, I would highly reccommend our school. We really love it! I know they still have spots for the 1s and 2s next year. And, they usually get to people on the waiting list for the 3s, 4s, and K classes!
Since I have a zillion picture from the last couple weeks, here are a few more. Check back soon to see pictures of Carson and his art work. We have taken a couple art classes and I want to show you some of the work he has done.

More photos
I don't have anything to say, but I still have some photos to share! These are all from yesterday. We went to the fire station with Carson's class and then to see Mom.

Mom walking
This is a video I took today of my mom walking. Somehow, I had the camera turned the wrong way, but you can see a couple steps if you turn you head.
Keep Reading...this is the second post today.
Friends
We are so blessed to have great friends in our neighborhood. Carson has a good buddy Carter who has a little sisiter Addison who is best buds with Macie (sorry for the poor grammer). Here are a picture of the pairs.

One of my favorite photos of the girls!
Macie and Addison. A rare photo of the girls both sitting and looking at the camera!

Great Moms Walk
I have added a link to the left to my new fundraising website. I attend the Crabapple First Baptist Mothers of Preschoolers group. We are participating in the Great Moms Walk to raise money for our group. I actually think I am going to miss the walk because we have tickets to ride Thomas in Chatanooga, but I still want to help raise some funds. If you would be willing to make a small donation, I would appreciate it. If you click on the link it will take you to my personal site. You can make a donation from there.
And, to say thank you, enjoy this video of Macie on the way to church Sunday evening!

Fun
This is the 3rd post today. Keep reading if you missed any. Carson and Macie are enjoying the tonka truck Aunt Debbie got Carson for his birthday. Jeff is a little protective.
TROUBLE
This post is for all of you who think Macie is just a sweet little thing. Here are some photos of the trouble she got into today, all before noon!

Helping herself to a Diet Dr. Pepper can from the trash can.
Chewing Gum-She grabbed it from the gum Sue Sue gave Carson. You should have seen the fit she pitched when I took it out of her mouth.
Unrolling a roll of paper towels.
Chewing on a little thing she pulled off of her backpack.
Standing up in the little chair we have in the kitchen.
Trying to play with the knives while Mommy is unloading the dishwasher.
Climbing into the dishwasher.
And I wonder why I can not seem to get anything done!
Random thoughts
Have I mentioned how much I love Day Light Savings Time? I love being able to go for a quick walk after dinner. The kids are awake a little longer at night, but they have been in bed by 8. And the best thing of all, is they are sleeping past 7. Carson has been making it until almost 8 and Macie has made it to 7:30 or later. This morning, they both woke up while Jeff was getting ready or leaving, but they went back to sleep!
I am very excited that we have no plans for today! This week has been very busy for me. Monday, Macie had Music then I went to the hospital for awhile. My mother in law (Joan)was here so she had the kids. Tuesday, Carson had donuts with dads at 9. Joan took him. Then when Joan got home, we went down to the hospital. I left Joan there to go get the kids for their doctors appointment. Then, I went back with the kids to get Joan. Wednesday, we went to see the bunnies and then had lunch. I think you are getting the idea. So, today, I don't think we will leave our neighborhood!
Finally, my friend Amy just took her 8 month old son's pacifier away. Bryce has been a great sleeper basically since he came home from the hospital. So, it has not been surprising to me that it took less than a day for him to get over it. It has made me think, you know Macie was not going to have her paci for very long. But, then I remembered how long it took her to sleep through the night. (Not consisitently until after she turned 1) And, I remembered that when she was little, she would stick her thumb in her mouth when she did not have her pacifier. I also thought about how the last couple months have been stressful for all of us. So don't be surprised if this is how you see Macie for the next couple years!

Carson's 4 year stats
Carson had his 4 yr check up today. The doctor confirmed what we already knew. Carson is tall and skinny. He weighs 34.2 pounds (in blue jeans) and he is 42 inches tall. This gives him a BMI of about 13.5. I guess at 4 they start checking that. I just did a little research and found he is below the 5th percentile for BMI and underweight for his height. I guess this makes since since he is in the 95th percentile for height and 25 for weight. Other than being skinny all looked good. He passed his hearing and vision test. He was scared to death when they were trying to take his blood presure! He knew he was going to get shots and was not happy about it.
I also talked to the doctor about Carson's speech and fine motor skills. She thinks he might be a little behind in holding a pencil and such but does not think we need to do anything at this point. If I want to have him evaluated she will give me a referal or what ever you need to go through the school sysytem. I figure I will wait and talk to his teacher and see what her thoughts are about him. She has been teaching 3 yr olds for a long time so she should have a good impression. Carson passed his hearing and vision test. SHe said we would look at speech again next year.
Macie also went with us. Her ears are finally clear! She did manage to squash her finger in one of the cabinets. She was in her stoller because Carson was having such a fit!

Happy Birthday Carson!
I can hardly believe that my sweet boy is 4 today. I have a couple pictures to share. I am still having picture issues, but I tried to make this work. (Amy or Holly, I might need some advice.) I will give more details and party pictures later in the week.
Carson on his new bike!

If you look closely, you can see the snow! This year it snowed on Carson's birthday, Macie's birthday, and the day of Macie's party. I seriously doubt we will ever experience this again in one year.

Train and Cuddle Confessions
Most of you know that Carson has had a train obsession since long before he was 2. His 2nd birthday party had a real trian for the kids to ride. This year we are going to the train store. But, I must confess, I enjpy the obsession. It is fun to see him play with his trains and try to figure out how to make the track work. There is a picture in the Thomas yearbook with a track that goes from the train table to the floor. He has wanted to do this for a long time. But, we have not had enough of the descending pieces or the risers. I think after his birthday we might have enough. We might need some more risers, but I think my dad can make some basic ones for us to use. I think I am looking forward to it almost as much as Carson is. On a related note, Carson saw one of his birthday presents today. I bought a bunch of stuff at the train store the other day because they are having a huge sale. I left it in the trunk, but when we were loading the groceries today he caught a glimps of the roundhouse. He is about to die to get it out of the van. I keep telling him I don't know what he is talking about. Somehow, I don't think he believes me!
Jeff put Macie to bed tonight. She has a bottle of warm milk before she gets in her crib. Usually she fall right to sleep and we hear from her in the morning. Tonight for some reason, she didn't go to sleep or woke up about 15 minutes later. She was really crying so I went to check on her. I don't know what was wrong, but I picked her up and cuddled with her for a couple minutes. It was nice to have her just lay on my chest for a few minutes. It kind of makes me understand why some people belive in family beds. Once I put her back to bed, she seems to be doing fine. I was a little afraid it was the 2 molars she has coming in on top!

Why buy a video monitor
Because if you have a child like Macie, they will play opposum long enough to get out of a nap! Today, I thought she was asleep for about 30 minutes. Then I went upstairs and looked at the monitor. She was busy trying to get her sock off her foot. A few minutes later, she started fussing. I would have chalked it up to a short nap (She took a long one this morning) if I had not seen her! I could also tell she had dropped her frog out of her bed. When I went in to give it back to her, I could also tell she was poopy. So, she got a fresh diaper and finally went to sleep.
