Over night guest

We have a very special visitor this morning! Our buddy Connor is having his tonsils and adnoids out this morning. He had to be at this hospital at 6 AM, so his brother Cole spent the night with us. This is a picture on Connor riding his bike in our cul-de-sac the other day. (For some reason lately when I load pictures, I can not see them to edit them. If they are all mixed up on this update, you know it happened to me again.)
Cole got here last night after Carson was asleep. His daddy came in and put him to bed in our guest room. I never heard from him. This morning just before 7, I went in to check on him. He was awake waiting for us to come get him. I asked if he was ready to get up and he said "Is it time to get up?" For those of you who follow the Morrows, you know how unsual this is for Cole. Cole got himself dressed and came downstairs. He did wake Carson up on his way down, but it was late for Carson to be sleeping. Carson, of course, was sure to let it be known that "Coley woke me up and my clock didn't say 7 yet" (Have I ever mentioned his clock is set a few minutes slow to give us extra sleep time?)
We are all up now. The kids had donuts for breakfast and are watching Aristocats this morning. Enjoy the pictures!

Just a spoonful of sugar...

When I got Macie's antiiotic the other day, the pharmacist suggested I give it to her with chocolate milk. She is one the generic Biaxin and it is really gritty. Most kids have a hard time taking it because the little specks of the antibiotic hand out in their mouth. They are suppose to be really bitter. So, the pharmacist said to coat her mouth with chocolate to get the taste out. Let me tell you it has worked like a charm. Macie gets her 1/2 teaspoon of medicine followed by a tiny piece of a Hersey bar. (We did not have chocolate for milk-so I broke a snack size Hersey bar into 16 pieces). She is excited as soon as she sees the medicine come out. I guess the Sound of Music song was right!

Pictures

I thought I would share a few pictures. I have not been able to find time to update with everything going on in our world. I still have a few cute photos from this past week. Hope you enjoy. (Macie went back to the doctor yesterday and still has an ear infection-she is on antibiotic #3 for the month of February-hopefully this will clear it up)

Sick girl

I took Macie back to the doctor this morning. She has still been coughing so yesterday afternoon I scheduled an appointment. She was not very happy and since she always coughs most in the morning, I went ahead and called. After I made the appointment, she was acting fine. This morning, she did not cough much either, but to miss an appointment is $25 and to go is only $15. So, I decided it didn't hurt to go get her rechecked. Well, it is a good thing I went. She now has a double ear infection and she is weezing. She got a breathing treatment in the office and has 2 different inhalers for the next couple week. She is on a new antibiotic. Plus we got diaper rash cream because she has a yeast daiper rash. I already knew this and have been treating it, but I figured we would get more while we were there. Hopefully this will take care of things.

She also has teeth coming in. I found one molar poking on her gum yesterday and while she was screaming during the treatment, I noticed the 4th one on the bottom also. It would be nice for all 4 molars to come in and just get everything taken care of while she is cranky.

Carson was with us at the doctor's office so she checked him too. He is good just a little drainage.

Happy Birthday Jeff

I just wanted to say happy birthday to Jeff. The last 2 years he has gotten a raw deal for his birthday. Last year we had a 3 week old baby, and this year we are a little busy with my mom. Maybe next year he will finally be able to have an exciting day!
Here is a picture of him with his cookie today.

Funny things they say

Carson has made me laugh several times in the last couple days. I wanted to remember all of the cute things he has said so I could share them, but of course I forgot. One thing I can remember him saying is "finally, but not least". I guess he has heard us say "last but not least." There have been several similar statements, but I just can not remember them all! He might not acknowledge us when we talk to him, but he is certainly listening!

Poor Macie had to go to the doctor today. She has been coughing for awhile, so I decided we should get it checked out. She doesn't act like she feels bad, but her cough sounds bad. Her doctor heard a little in her chest so she is on an antibiotic. Hopefully it will all get cleared up! She needs all her energy to get into trouble after all!

First day of school

Macie started school on Tuesday. Since I am spending so much time at the hospital, I decided to let Macie start attending Carson's school 2 days a week. The 12-18 month class was not full, so they allowed Macie to start. She seems to be enjoying it. I have had her take an early nap, and then she is making it through the day. Of course she is falling asleep in the car and not napping well at home. Hopefully, we will figure it out and get her to take a good afternoon nap. She is also waking up at 5:30 in the morning too. I don't think we will ever really get her sleeping well.
The first picture is at home. The second one is in her classroom. I can not rotate it on Jeff's computer so you will have to turn your head!
