Meet and Greet

Yesterday, Carson, Macie, and I went to meet Carson's teachers. The morning started with him being very upset that he was not going to wear his C shirt because he was suppose to wear it the first day. He settled down when I told him he could wear it Tuesday. He was very excited to go, but he was a little unsure going into the room. About half of the kids from his class last year are in his class this year. I think we have a really good teacher. She has been at the school since it started. Most of the moms who picked her for their teacher have older kids who have gone through the program. I did not know anything about the teachers, but Ms. Beth, Carson's 2 year old teacher, thought he would do really good in this class. There was a lot of competition to get into this class, so I think we were fortunate. He is excited about going back to school. He says it makes him happy that Lindsey, Katie, Matthew and Andrew are in his class. Some of you know that he had a secret crush on Lindsey. He always said she was his best friend, but he never really played with her at school. I was a little sad that Cade is not in his class. He played well with him, and I really liked Cade and his mom!
Jeff and I both got very little sleep last night. We could not fall asleep and then both kids were up several times. Jeff took Macie to the extra bedroom and slept with her awhile. We are trying to get her to stop eating at night, but it only works if he deals with her. Carson had so much to drink that he had wet his PJs by midnight. He was wearing a pull up, but we were out of the night time ones. Thankfully his sheets were still dry so I did not have to change those in the middle of the night.
We are headed to Lake Hartwell this weekend. I will post some pictures when we get back. I will also get some up of Carson's first day of school.

Awanas andMusic class

The kids both had a first to start this week. Carson had his first night of Awanas at church and Macie started music class. Jeff is taking Carson to church on Sunday afternoons for Awanas. He might volunteer to work if we decide not to take a class at the same time. Carson liked his first day and is working on memorizing his verses. They have a key verse, but they must have said it was the first Bible verse on Sunday. Every time I ask him what his key verse is he says "Actually it is our first Bible verse." He has it memorized but often says Jesus for God. It is a little funny in this verse because the verse says God loved us and sent his son. I think Carson will enjoy it because he gets stickers and stamps and badges for awards.

Macie and I will be going on Monday morning to music class with Addison and Shahla. She was actually fairly calm during the first class. She seems to like to observe in settings like that. Her buddy Addison on the other hand was all over the place. She made friends with everyone in the room. Of course Addi is 3 months older and crawling all over the place.
Macie still isn't moving on all fours yet. She did start the army crawl on Sunday. She is also trying to pull up on things. She hasn't really been successful unless I help her. I am sure it won't be too long.

We have meet and greet at Carson's school tomorrow. He is excited to get back and see his friends. I don't know how he will react when it isn't all the same kids. I think Lindsey is in his class so that will make him happy. Yesterday at the grocery store, we had to get princess snacks like "Windsey"

Busy day and Macie on the move

We have had a crazy day today. Jeff woke Carson up at 6:30 to make the 8 am meet and greet for soccer. All of the games will be at 8 as well, but they will be much closer to our house so we will not have to get him up as early. Carson was really excited and has been wearing his soccer shirt since he came home. Jeff said he thinks Carson will follow directions during practice, but he isn't sure how he will do in games. Macie and I went to weight watchers while they were there so I can not tell you much more.

As soon as the boys got home, we left for Stone Mountain. Jeff's company had an appreciation day so we went out for the afternoon. They have really made some changes since we were last there. It was so hot the only attraction we did was the train ride. I think we will go back in a few months and do some more. I would love to climb the mountain, but I will have to convince Jeff that he can carry Macie up on his back!

Both kids were beat when we got back to the car. Carson slept on the way home and then fell back asleep on the couch. Every time he does this he looks like he is made of wax lying on the couch! Macie of course thought she had enough sleep so she has been going since then. She is going to bed very soon!

Since Carson got a good rest, Jeff took him bowing with Carter and Brad this evening. He has bowled one time before when Rene' and the kids were in town. I am sure he is having a great time with Carter.

Macie is still working hard on crawling. She can get where she wants to go by rolling or leaping, but she really wants to crawl. If she can figure out what to do with her arms, she will be set. I have a little video of her moving around. You can see how she gets up on her hands and toes and tries to leap forward. Hope you enjoy seeing her!

Jeff spent the afternoon at home with the kids. I had to go work a consignment sale so I can get into the preview sale tomorrow night. It was actually fun to get everything set up for the sale. I have several things picked out for Macie. Hopefully, I will get in early enough to get what I want.

Jeff took the kids to get Carson's gear for soccer. This Saturday is the meet and greet with the team. They have next week off for Labor Day and then the games begin. It sound like they will have a game every Saturday at 8 am. We are going to have to get going as soon as we wake up to make it on time. Everyone is invited to come watch. I am sure it will be entertaining. There are only 8 kids on the team and 4 are from our neighborhood. Cole, Carter, Eli, and Carson will be coached by Jeff and Carter's dad Brad. Addison (Carter's little sister) and Macie will be the cheerleaders! I am sure I will make you see lots of pictures. (Dad I might want to borrow your camera sometime for a game)

Macie is only chewing on the pop ice. I did let her have a bite of french fry tonight, but it might be a bit early for straight sugar!

Tow Macie

Carson's Halloween costume arrived in the mail yesterday. I found an inexpensive Tow Mater from the movie Cars so I went ahead and bought it. When the package arrived yesterday, I tried to get Carson to put it on for me. Of course, he wouldn't, but Macie can't protest yet. Here are the results!After seeing how cute she looks, I am thinking I might need to get her a Sally costume and pull her in the wagon.

An introduction
I have finally done it. I have been talking about creating a blog for some time now. We have so much family out of town, that I think it will be a good way to keep up with the kids. Plus, poor Macie doesn't have the first thing written in her baby book. Maybe if I write it down here she won't feel so cheated.
For those of you who are wondering about the title, it comes from my mom. She always called my cats four footers so when we moved on to kids she calls them two footers. I wanted a title that didn't have any of our names so this is what I chose!
I can't post much today. Cole and Connor are here this morning. I will try to get everything set up and get some pictures posted for you.
