What is the cause?

3 of the last 5 nights Ellie has been up crying and spent a couple hours a wake. It did not help to bring her to bed with me or let her cry. She just stayed up. She also has not napped well.

She has also had a watery eye for several days. But, yesterday morning it looked gunky. I decided to take her to the doctor to get it checked.

She has a double ear infection and an eye infection. She started on eye drops and antibiotic. She only got one dose before she went to bed last night. But, she only woke up at 10 and went right back to sleep with just a little cuddle.

This morning, I discovered she has 2 more new teeth. (That makes 5 she has gotten since January 20th)

Do you think she did not sleep because of the teeth or the ears or the lack of naps? This is why I say kids need indicator lights like we have on cars.

For Emery's first tooth, she'd wake up at 1am or 3am and stay awake for an hour+ if I didn't go in there. At first I tried feeding her, thinking it was a growth spurt and she was hungry. But then I started watching her on the monitor, and saw her stuffing her blanket in her mouth, so I figured it was her teeth. After some orajel and tylenol, she went right back to sleep once the meds kicked in. This lasted for at least a week and a half, until her tooth popped out. This morning she was awake from 515 to 6am, I have no idea why. But I didn't go in there and she went back to sleep until 7. These days we are very much "winging" it in regards to figuring out sleep disruptions!Good luck and hope Ellie feels better very soon!

Indicator light would be very helpful!

Her Daddy would get ear infections every time that he teethed. Our pediatric allergist at the time did not disagree that the two were somehow connected in him. He also voted for the indicator light since Jeff never ran a fever with his ear infections. Please know that Grandma totally understands and sends love to you all.

Justin has gotten an ear infection every time he's gotten teeth in. They say it's not connected but I hear about that happening a lot.
