Touring Facilities
I was not aware when I woke up Friday that I would be touring Scottish Rite facilities in our area this weekend. After my adventures with Carson on Friday, I thought we were good to go for awhile. But at 5AM this morning Macie woke up with a fever and a very fast respiration rate (almost double what is normal for her age). She went back to sleep after a dose of Tylenol and her daddy sleeping on the floor beside her bed. When the Urgent Care opened, I talked with a nurse. Macie had an albuterol treatment that we have left from some earlier problems. When she was still about the same, the nurse had me take her in to be seen. So off to Scottish Rite facility #2 we went. She was whezzing, but it was not very bad. They gave her a dose of steroid and told us to continue with the breathing treatments and keep her fever down. Thankfully, I was in and out of the place in about 30 minutes. I was very impressed. Macie is okay, but I think she is exerience a little "roid rage." I have heard of it from cancer kids, and I am very thankful she just got one dose!
