I am very excited that we have no plans for today! This week has been very busy for me. Monday, Macie had Music then I went to the hospital for awhile. My mother in law (Joan)was here so she had the kids. Tuesday, Carson had donuts with dads at 9. Joan took him. Then when Joan got home, we went down to the hospital. I left Joan there to go get the kids for their doctors appointment. Then, I went back with the kids to get Joan. Wednesday, we went to see the bunnies and then had lunch. I think you are getting the idea. So, today, I don't think we will leave our neighborhood!
Finally, my friend Amy just took her 8 month old son's pacifier away. Bryce has been a great sleeper basically since he came home from the hospital. So, it has not been surprising to me that it took less than a day for him to get over it. It has made me think, you know Macie was not going to have her paci for very long. But, then I remembered how long it took her to sleep through the night. (Not consisitently until after she turned 1) And, I remembered that when she was little, she would stick her thumb in her mouth when she did not have her pacifier. I also thought about how the last couple months have been stressful for all of us. So don't be surprised if this is how you see Macie for the next couple years!

Sandy-
I don't blame you one second. Ya'll have WAY too much on your plate to rock her little world by taking away the pacifier. I fully admit I didn't throw Bryce's pacifiers away because had this been a difficult transition, I'm not sure that I wouldn't have resorted to giving it back to him. In fact, all 6 of them are sitting on his bedside table...just in case. And, like always...every mother has to do what's best for her children/family. Just like how I said my kids would never suck a pacifier ever...well that changed the very first night he was in the hospital crying his eyes out to suck something and I was DONE feeding him every 5 minutes. It worked like a charm for us for 8 months, and if it works like a charm and comforts sweet Macie until she's 5, then chalk it up to the best idea in the world. It's such a small deal in comparison to life's other problems. I don't fault you ONE BIT!!!!
And by the way, I LOVE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME TOO. I never knew how great it was until I had kids. I will tell you I'm already dreading time change in the fall and that's going to be ROUGH!!! The things you learn with children!
