1. So you can see your kids holding hands in their car seats as you drive all over town.
2. So you can see and hear the joy when the little one sees the big one after he has been at camp all day.
3. So you hear the oldest singing to the youngest to calm her down when she is crying in the car seat.
4. So you can get funny pictures like this...
5. So you can really understand what people mean when they said ALL kids are different.
There are times when I watch my friends with one child and think about how easy it was then. Not that I had any clue at the time but looking back (and comparing) it was much easier. I thought the transition for 1 to 2 kids was much harder than 0 to 1. Plus, having an older child has made it harder for me to play with a little one. I have almost forgotten how to play with a toddler. But, watching the 2 of them love each other certainly makes it worth the work!

So sweet - I'm just tearing up thinking about it. I loved my big brother and to see Macie and Carson have that.. it's such a blessing.
I've always heard the transition from 1 to 2 is much harder than gaining 1. I can imagine it would be as right now I can put 100% of my attention on Bryce. Splitting that time will be a challenge, I'm sure.
Where were you???
For clarification, I meant, where was that pool picture taken? It does not look like your yard, but it looks like a great pool..... sorry I was checking your blog while waiting for Connor to go potty and was distracted. I expected you to read my mind.
OK, couple of thoughts, as usual. Valerie, I'm so glad to hear you think of an older brother as a blessing. I just look at my daughter and think, she'll never have a sister, how sad! (Indirect compliment, Sandy.)
I know what you mean about playing with the 2nd one, but when I was feeling guilty about it, Laura pointed out that you might not have as much time now, but you'll have it in the later years. She'll remember it then, and she'll need you just as much. But, it's sad for Mom!
Squeeze them both for Aunt NéNé! Come see us soon.
