We are finally within a month of meeting baby P. I am hoping it will be a lot sooner than 4 weeks, but I guess we will wait and see. As long as things have started naturally, the midwife will induce in 3 weeks. I don't know that we are really ready, but my body is over being pregnant! I was trying to be positive this week and think about what I will miss about not being pregnant. I could come up with a lot more that I will not miss. But, I will say it is pretty cool to be able to see the baby moving around under your skin.
Macie is back to her normal self. She has been sleeping really late this week-well for her. The days that Jeff was not able to take Carson to the bus stop I have had to leave her in bed. Thankfully we have good neighbors who will watch him until the bus gets there. This morning I dropped him off and came straight home. Poor girl was in the family room crying. I asked her if she knew where I went and she said "at the bus stop." So, at least she knew where I was. I am hoping this sleeping later will last through Spring Break when we can all sleep a little later. (Unless baby decides to come by then)
Carson had his first baseball game of the season Saturday. He is in a league that has the coach pitch 3 times and then they hit off the tee. His first game, he hit a really hard foul ball from a pitch, but he ended up getting all of his hits off the tee. I can not even begin to tell you how much he has improved since last spring. It is not like we are practicing during the off season. Our team has Carson, his buddies Cole, Connor and Carter, and then a set of twins Colby and another Carson. It is crazy with all the C's. Thankfully we know 4 of them, but I bet it is crazy for the other families.
He is still doing really well in school. It is hard to believe how close he is to the end of the year. His little reading group has been doing accelerated reader test. They usually start in first grade, but his teacher has them working on them. He really loves it. He seems to get all the answers correct, but I only hear about it from him. I know he was ahead when he started Kindergarten then a lot of other kids, but I have been impressed with how he does in reading. We always knew he was good at math, but his report card shows him doing better in reading.
Once day I will get some new pictures up. I am spending a lot of my free time right now working on swim team stuff. I am basically the head of a small group trying to start our first swim team in the neighborhood. Once we get it all going, my job will be much smaller, but I will have an infant by then. I promise I will have pictures of the baby.
