He is Carson's reward for swimming across the entire pool last summer. It took us a long time to fulfill our promise, but a promise is a promise. I wanted a yellow/orange female tabby, but they all liked this little boy. He is cute and seems to like the kids. We will let you know how Smokey adapts to her new baby. Carson has been telling her for months we are about to get her a baby!
By the way, Carson does not like the smell of the kitten food. Especially since Troy is living in our hall bathroom for a few days until Smokey gets use to him. The smell was just too strong for Carson. I feel a little bad making the kitten stay in the bathroom, but I figure it must look like a mansion compared to the cage he lived in this morning.

It's just like crating a dog. Ultimately it makes you all happier. I hope he doesn't feel the need to mark his new home too much! He's very cute. Is he also longer haired? His picture seems fuzzy, but maybe it's just kitten fur?
