4

Today we celebrate Macie's 4th birthday. Her birthday isn't until Sunday, but we have a big weekend. And, she does not have school on Friday. Sometime it is easier to do things when the big kids are in school. But, in case you missed it, we had tons of snow and missed the entire week of school. So all the big kids came anyway.
We had an Ariel party with several of Macie's little girl friends. She had fun, but she was most excited to open her presents when everyone left. When we were eating cake she says "Everyone eat up and get out" knowing we would not open presents until after the party. We are going to have to work on that a little.
I thought I would tell a little about my sweet girl in honor of her special day.

Macie is a spunky little girl. As I type this she is screaming at me that she wants to play right now. She knows what she wants and she make every effort to get her way. I know this will get her far in life, but it is challenging in a 4 year old.
She loves girly things. She likes to wear any kind of jewelry she can get in her hands. She likes to play dress up. She loves to wear dresses and is not happy when I try to make her wear pants. Her little body doesn't work well with anything other than leggings, so most of the time she gets her way. She loves princesses and Fancy Nancy and Pinkalicious. She loves her baby dolls and stuffed animals. She likes to play mommy and says next Halloween she wants to dress up like a mommy.

She is a girl of extremes. She can be so loving. She tells me she loves me all the time. But, she also tells me she doesn't want to be in my family anymore too. She likes to cuddle-if she feels likes it. Everything has to be on her timing.
She loves anything sweet. She would eat candy and gum 24 hours a days if I let her do it. She loves school and is starting to actually learn a thing or two. Her teachers think she is great (but not at all like her brother who they taught at 3 also). She loves playing with the big kids around here.

She brings so much joy to our lives. But, she also bring so much challenge. We love her to pieces and can not believe how quickly she has hit 4.
