Today is my sweet baby's half birthday. It is going way to fast. After taking a couple of shots in her crib, I decided to move her to the chair in her room. Doesn't she look proud?

It has been a big month. Ellie took her first real vacation. She went to my sister's house back in the spring, but this was the first non family visit vacation. I still need to post some pictures from the trip. But, Ellie did great and made the visit a lot of fun. We also took Ellie camping. It was just one night, but it could have been bad. She woke up a couple times but went back to sleep without waking up the entire camp site. (It was a boy scout camping trip so there were lots of people around)

Ellie is still working on getting her teeth to poke through her gums. You can now see 3 on the bottom, but they have not broken the skin. ( Carson's tooth is getting looser, so it is still a race to see what happens first.) Her fingers are always in her mouth unless she finds something else to chew on.
Ellie started eating food on the 5th. She seems to like it and is getting better at keeping it in her mouth. So far, she has eaten rice cereal, green beans and squash. It has not helped with her pooping issues though.

This month Ellie also learned to sit up. She is getting really good at it. I still worry a little about her falling over, so I don't leave her sitting along for long. She has not had her 6 month appointment yet. She did go to the doctor on Wednesday with Carson and Macie. They weighed her and she is now at 14 pounds 4 ounces. I looked it up and it says that is the 13th percentile. That is really hard for me to be because she does not look like she has missed a meal! Ellie is still in a size 2 diaper and should wear 3-6 month clothes. She can do some 3 month stuff and other 9 month clothes too.

Unfortunately, Ellie is not sleeping as well as she use to sleep. When Carson and Macie were at the doctor Wednesday, I had her check Ellie as well. She has had a horse cry and pulled a little on her ears. I did not really think she was sick, but I wanted to make sure when even Carson said her cry sounded funny. That night she was up for several hours and acted like she was hurting. Putting everything together and talking to a friend, I really think she is having reflux issues. I have suspected she had reflux since she was born, but it did not seem to be causing a problem. I decided to try a little Mylanta and it seems to be working like a charm. She slept about 9 hours then ate. Once she ate and did not have the Mylanta, she would not sleep without me holding her. Tonight I am going to try to give her some if she wakes up and see how it goes.

Over all this baby is just the sweetest thing. She loves her family. I had to get her from MOPS today because she was so upset. Once she was with me she was fine. She laughs like crazy at her brother and sister! We are all looking forward to her first holiday season!

Ellie and Dawson are similar in size. D was 14lbs 12 oz at 6.5 months old. I was told that was 3%but I realize percentages can be off. She really is adorable!!
She is a sweet baby!
