She has gotten really bad about naps the last couple of weeks. She complains about it and is getting harder to transfer. Yesterday, she fell asleep on the floor while the AT&T guy was here working on our new TV and internet deal (by the way my internet is now really fast and we have a DVR). She only slept about 45 minutes.

Guess what Macie isn't doing....
taking a nap or wearing socks. I am not sure why she isn't wearing socks, but she came home from school in just her Keds. I bet she took them off and her teachers did not want to fight her to get them back on her feet.

Today, she fell asleep on the way home and won't go back to sleep. I made her stay in her room for awhile, but she just came downstairs and said "I all done sleeping." I guess 15 minutes will have to do for today. I am going to have to work hard the next couple of weeks getting this under control. I admit it would be nice to be over the constraint of nap time. But, she and I both still need it! Maybe today, I will take the kids to the gym and swim for family time.

She tried to fall asleep on the top of the climber at the gym at about 11:45. If she had not been in direct sun, her teachers might have let her.......
ooops, I meant at the playground at school, not at the gym..... apparently I can not talk and type at the same time.
Hold on tight to that nap! As you know, life is never the same when it's gone! Maybe you can tell her if she doesn't take a nap she can't have paci. It might kill you both, but it also might work. I think that's the age when we rigged up a way to tie the door in a way that Bryant could not get out in the old house. In this house we turned the door knob around so we could lock him in the room during the day. I know that sounds all Joan Crawfordish, but . . . you gotta do what you gotta do! And, we never locked it unless he would NOT comply with staying in his room. Oh, I'm so sorry!
