For Christmas Carson got a Big Wheel. The real 1970s kind. I saw it in Target in November and talked him into asking Santa for it. It has been a huge hit. He hardly rides his bike any more. Most of the other Christmas presents are blending in with everything else, but he loves his Big Wheel!
Macie got an American Girl Bity baby for Christmas from SueSue. We named her Suzy since she came from SueSue. But, Macie doesn't seem to like it. She calls the doll Baby Jesus. I am not sure what to think about this! It seems a little wrong to have such a materialistic thing named after our Saviour. This is an aweful picture, buy you can see Jesus.
In other news, it looks like Macie has finally learned most of her colors. We have been working on it for a long time and all she would get is pink. One day last week, she started getting most of them. She still can not get red and green though.
Carson is talking about saving the world in school this week. They had to bring in 2 things they think can be recycled. This was easy for him since we have a recycle bin we put out each week. When I asked him what he wanted to take he said "Mommy, I noticed today that my lunchables container can be recycled. I saw it had one of those little triagles." I guess they are doing a good job teaching them. This is one of the first units he is coming home and telling me all about.
Macie is now in my lap, so that is all for today!

She is doing just fine with her colors. She is completely age appropriate. Besides, it looks like, by Georgia curriculum, you don't have to know colors until, like 3rd grade----ok, exaggerating a bit. :) But if she knows all of them, except red and green, and confuses those consistently she might be red/green colorblind, which is the most common kind of colorblindness. You should watch to see if she consistently misses those. (I know I will forget to tell you this when I see you in like 45 minutes.)
